We are a fun and dedicated group of hobby musicians dedicated to the preservation and continuation of Scottish piping and drumming and to providing the community and area with a resource for a wide variety of public and private functions, including the teaching of piping and drumming techniques to people of all ages.

Beinn Gorm is to be a non-share not for profit organization, and any financial gains shall be used to promote its mission.

  • We welcome new recruits (of all ages) every September  . Click on the “Contact Us” section if you want more information.

The Beinn Gorm Highlanders Pipe and Drum band practices at the Collingwood Legion every Tuesday night and plays at many Legion functions: Remembrance Day, Robbie Burns dinners, St. Patrick’s Day festivities, Copper Kettle Festival, as well as numerous local events and parades throughout the year.

Looking ahead, the band plans to return to hosting its Annual Tartan Fling. In years past, over 250 guests have attended this event, featuring Celtic dancers, musicians, and, of course, highland pipes and drums.  Historically, the Tartan Fling features a sit-down dinner including a pipe-in Haggis, followed by plenty of music and dancing.  It is attended by people of all ages and provides a rare opportunity for grandparents and parents to dance alongside kids.
